Mountain Ash Wind Energy Project

SWEB Development in partnership with Woodstock First Nation and 7 Mi’kmaq communities is proposing a 6 wind turbine renewable energy facility on Crown land east of McAdam. The closest wind turbine is approximately 2 kms from Magaguadavic Siding on the big lake. The turbines will be approximately 200 m in height and are expected to be constructed over the next couple of years.

SWEB held their first public information session on November 21, 2024 with another to be held at a later date.

The MLA Board met with SWEB representatives on February 6, 2025.

On Saturday March 15, 2025 the MLA held their own public meeting to present and discuss the project. You can find a copy the the presentation made at the meeting below.
